'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber' being a maker- (ie. 'L/14'-) marked example by the: 'Friedrich Orth'
This is an attractive - truly rarely seen and just moderately used and worn! - example of a silver-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber') being an example that is clearly maker-marked on its back (with the makers'- ie. LDO-designation: 'L/14') signifying that it is a piece as was produced by the Austrian-based company: 'Friedrich Orth' as was based in the town of Wien IV/56 ie. 'Hersteller 15 o. L/14') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The neat wound-badge - which is executed in nicely tarnished, silvered zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') - shows some obvious wear ie. age and has a correct - and fully functional - pin- and/or catch (-set-up) in place. The badge has, however, never been cleaned and shows evident tarnish and/or wear: it truly retains most (ie. all) of its silverish finish but does show some minimal bubbling on the finish (as is more often observed). Simply an attractive and unusually seen, silver-class WB that is I deem accordingly priced!
