'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' being a maker- (ie. 'A'-) marked example by the: 'Assmann & Söhne'-company

This is an attractive - and actually quite scarcely found! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a nicely maker- (ie. 'A'-) marked example as executed in greyish-toned, zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that was produced by the desirable: 'Assmann & Söhne'-company as was based in the town of Lüdenscheeid and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. This example - that shows a (vaguely but most certainly present!) 'A'-designation ie. logo on its centre back - has a functional (and unaltered!) catch and/or hinge (set-up) and seems to be totally uncleaned and has still an attractive and/or somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina: most of its period-applied greyish-silver finish has however 'migriert' ie. faded-away over the years (as more often). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows some moderate wear and/or staining and was never cleaned. Simply a nice occasion to acquire an actually scarcely encountered 'IAB-variant' that was produced by the: 'Assmann & Söhne'-company based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that is priced according to its comparative scarcity and/or desirability!
