Pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern, 'cyphered' shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant des Reiter-Rgts. 1'

This is an attractive - neatly 'cyphered' and actually not that easily found! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the desirable darker-golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Reiter-Regiments 1' (ie. lieutnant first-class who served within the cavalry-related regiment, numbered: '1' and that comes in a overall very nice- (and I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The boards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey-toned (ie. somewhat 'subdued'-type) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty issued and/or worn as such and do show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable darker-golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' woolas can be noticed on the pictures). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and show a matching pair of (reddish-golden-toned, smaller-sized and/or typical 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: '1'-numerals ie. cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and two (neatly golden-toned, smaller-sized- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of an: 'Obertleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'subdued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used' tunic. It should also be mentioned that these officers'-pattern, 'Reiter- o. Kavallerie'- (ie. army cavalry-troops-) related shoulderboards are actually quite difficult to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged an: 'Oberleutnant des Reiter-Regiments 1'!
