Pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Ltn. des Infanterie-Rgts.106'
This is a truly attractive - and fully matching! - pair of 'cyphered' WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboards as was piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty used and/or worn by! - a junior-officer ie.: 'Leutnant des Infanterie-Regiments 106' (or: lieutnant who served within the infantry-regiment numbered '106') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the typical 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards come mounted onto their (typical smaller-sized) tongues and measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each: the pair was just moderately worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show two pairs of (golden-toned, older-styled, larger-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) '1', '0'- and/or '6'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached, denoting that the officer (ie. 'Leutnant' or lieutnant) who was issued and used this pair, served within the 'Infanterie-Regiment 106'. All six devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright age-patina. This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site and shows - as stated above - just moderate usage ie. wear (just some moderate age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). Simply an attractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant des Infanterie-Regiments 106'!
