This is a very attractive - truly rarely seen and just moderately used and worn! - example of a silver-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber') being an example that is clearly maker-marked under the catch-set-up (with the makers'- ie. LDO-designation: 'L/18' signifying that it is a piece as was produced by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as was based in the town of Pforzheim ie. 'Hersteller 26') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The neat wound-badge - which is executed in nicely tarnished, silvered zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') - shows some obvious wear ie. age and has a correct - and fully functional - pin- and/or (unusally pillow-crimped) catch (-set-up) in place. The badge has, however, never been cleaned and shows evident tarnish and/or wear: it truly retains most (ie. all) of its silverish finish.. Simply an attractive and very unusually seen, silver WB that is I deem accordingly priced!
