Pair of WH (Heeres) 'M36- o. M40'-) pattern, EM-type shoulderstraps: 'Soldat eines (Schw.)-Art.-Abtgs. o. Rgts.'
This is a very interesting - and with certainty very unusually seen! - pair of WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern, rounded styled (and I deem typically 'standard-issued'!) neatly 'cyphered' shoulderstraps showing a very unsual 'monogram' (made out of red-coloured 'Soutache'!) as was piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was (I deem) specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines (Schw.)-Artillerie-Abteilungs. o. Regiments' (or: simple soldier who served within a specific army-artillery unit that was presuambly equipped with 75mm. canons) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used-, worn- and/or: most certainly carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive straps - which are approximately 12,4 cms. sized in length each as more often encountered - have the 'standard-type'- and/or typical darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdecks' and show the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured and/or woolen-type branchcolour ie. piping, attached. Next to this, does the pair show a pair of unsual 'monograms' period-attached (made out of red-coloured 'Soutache'-type braid) something that is truly scarcely seen. The straps were in my opinion only moderately used- and/or worn and do show some moderate staining and/or age simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are almost matching but that were most certainly worn as a pair - come naturally mounted onto their functional tongues and originated from a larger-collection of rare shoulderstraps and boards I recently acquired for the web-site. I have a similar (field-grey-coloured, EM-type) pair in my private-collection that came with a period photo of the bearer: I have attached this photo for future reference-purposes. Simply a very attractive - and most certaibnly rarely found! - pair of so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern, EM-type shoulderstraps that was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat eines (Schw.)-Artillerie-Abteilungs. o. Regiments' and that comes most certainly NOT that often for sale!
