'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' being a non-maker-marked example by: 'E. Ferdinand Wiedmann'

The attractive - and with certainy not that often seen! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross first class) - which is a typical non-vaulted- (ie. non-converse-) shaped and I deem quite early-period example - retains nice and pronounced detail as to be expected. This example - which is an evident - and as more often non-maker-marked - specimen as was produced by the desirable maker: 'E. Ferdinand Wiedmann' as was based in the town of Franfurt am Main - comes naturally firmly mounted on its original- (and naturally unaltered and/or fully functional-) straight-shaped pin and/or typical 'Wiedmann'-catch (ie. catch-set-up). The cross - which is a magnetic example - shows a 'blackened'- and/or fairly 'satin-like'- (ie. somewhat 'matted') inner-core that shows some obvious wear but is (almost) void of any paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is, however, still a bit stained and/or dirty (and just retains some minimal remains of its polished sides ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). I deem that I have priced this attractive, and most certainly early-war-period 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by the 'Hersteller' (ie. maker): 'E. Ferdinand Wiedmann', accordingly!
