Pair of WH (Heeres) early- (ie. mid-) war-period (ie. 'M41- o. M43'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Oberfwbl. der Veterinär-Trpn. o. Generalsstabes'
The truly attractive - and actually very scarcely seen! - early- (ie. mid-) war-period (ie. 'M41- o. M43'-pattern), WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstraps have the (typical) field-grey-coloured- and/or: woolen-based 'upperdecks'. The pair shows the desirable, bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesinroter'-) coloured (and desirable silk-like-type-pattern!) branchcolour ie. piping attached and were as such intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Veterinär-Truppen o. Generalsstabes' (or: senior NCO ie. sergeant first-class who served within an army veterinarian- or staff-unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The straps measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length and come naturally mounted onto their original tongues: the straps show some minimal age, wear and/or staining but have, nevertheless, been nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows the ('standard-issue'-pattern and silverish-toned) NCO-braid and show four (somewhat smaller-sized, zinc-based) pips period-attached and was with certainly always together and was worn as such as a pair. It should be noted that the bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesin-roter'-) coloured branchcolour ranks amongst the rarest branchcolours as used within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht'. In any case a very attractive and/or early- (ie. mid-) war-period- and/or: 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Veterinär-Truppen o. Generalsstabes': only the first such rarely found 'M41- o. M43'-pattern pair in this rank I ever had on offer!
