Non-maker-marked, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by: 'Steinhauer & Lück'

This is an attractive - and truly worn and/or used! - example of an (I deem) early- (ie. mid-) war-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a typical non-maker-marked- and/or non-vaulted- (ie. non-converse-shaped) example as was (in my opinion) produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Steinhauer & Lück' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid (ie. 'Hersteller 4') and that comes as recently found. The neat cross comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition (as can be seen on the pictures). The magnetic cross retains a very nice age-patina and truly retains great pronounced detail: the black-coloured (and somewhat 'matted') core is truly void of any paint-loss and is simply nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece has, however, lost most of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and is still somewhat tarnished but was never cleaned nor polished. The typical (flute-shaped) pin and/or catch (ie. set-up) are naturally fully unaltered and/or of course still functional. Simply an attractive - and I deem early- (ie. mid-) war-period! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by the: 'Steinhauer & Lück'-company that was never before in a collection and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
