Hollow-back, 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' by: 'S.H.u.C.o.'
This is an attractive - actually not that easily found and hardly used nor worn! - example of a typical hollow-back, 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault-badge ie. IAB) being a non-maker-marked example as executed in silverish-coloured- and/or typical (magnetic) steel-based metal and that comes in an overall very nice- (and fully untouched!), condition. This example is a (typical) non-maker-marked award as was produced by the maker: 'S.H.u.C.o.' (ie. being the abbreviation for the: 'Sohni, Heubach & Co.'-company as was based in the town of Oberstein). The award has a 'typical' catch and/or hinge set-up (which are both not altered nor damaged and which are both fully functional). The badge seems to be totally uncleaned and still retains a very nice, somewhat 'shiny' silver-coloured age-patina: truly all of its original silverish-finish is present and/or nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The (silver-coloured) pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are as stated above of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household in Germany - shows hardly any wear nor staining but was in my opinion never cleaned. Simply a very attractive, 'steel'-based, hollow-back silver-class 'S.H.u.C.o.'-IAB that is with certainty accordingly priced!
