Pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Leutnant eines Pz-Grenadier-Rgts.'

The attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were presumably once tunic-attached and show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'hellgrüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached (and were used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern) and measure approximately 11,4 cms. in length each. The boards never had any, 'cypher', numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') nor pips attached (as can be seen on the pictures) denoting that the officer who wore this set held the rank of: 'Leutnant' (ie. lieutnant) who served within a: 'Panzer-Grenadier-Regiments'. Taking into account the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-tunic'. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive, WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant eines Pz-Grenadier-Regiments' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
