This is an attractive - and fully matching! - medal-set: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class withou swords) comprising of a clearly maker- (ie. '107'-) marked and/or neatly 'Buntmetall'-based specimen that comes packed in its original pouch of issue as was produced by the (unusually found!) maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Carl Wild Metallwarenfabrik' as was based in the town of Hamburg and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem issued- but simply never worn- not even mounted-), condition. The medal came together with its original, minimally confectioned, orange-red-coloured and pre-folded (and approx. 14 cms. long-sized) ribbon and came packed in its neat (somewhat smaller-sized 'Zellstoff'-based) pouch (which is fully complete but that shows some minor tears as can be seen on the pictures). The medal - which is a very nicely preserved 'Buntmetall'-based specimen - was I deem issued but simply never used nor worn. The medal has a quite 'shiny' (ie. darkened-bronze) coloured age-patina and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The pouch comes as stated above in an equally nicely preserved condition: it shows the printed makers'-designation of the company: 'Carl Wild Metallwarenfabrik' as based in the town of Hamburg 24 (as is printed on its back as stated above). It should be noted that the 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwertern'-award is quite commonly encountered: those matching sets are most certainly NOT! Of additional interest is, moreover, that the pouch does NOT mention the text 'ohne Schwerter': it is of a generic-pattern (something that is unusual). This particular example originates from a larger KVK-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply one of the nicest, and fully matching 'KvK II.Kl. ohne Schwertern'-medal-sets by this particular maker I had on offer for quite some time!
