WH cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'Afrika'
The truly very attractive - and I deem still 'virtually mint'! - cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'Afrika' comes in a presumably issued albeit simply never worn- nor even tunic-attached, condition: it measures 47 cms. in length (as can be noticed on the pictures). Both ends do show some normal fraying as is more often encountered. The cuff-title is executed in the (typical) neat (ie. truly 'smooth-type'!) beige-brownish-coloured, so-called: 'Kamelhaar' (camel hair) as is more often encountered. It should be stated that these 'Afrika'-cuff-titles are not to be regarded as commemorative cuff-titles (such as the 'Afrikakorps' cuff-title) but were regarded as official awards that needed official recognition (and entries in both 'Soldbuch' and/or: 'Wehrpass'). The piece comes as carefully stored for decades and was recently uncovered in Germany: it was never before part of any collection. Simply a very attractive - presumably issued- albeit never used- nor worn example that shows lots of character and that is (I deem) accordingly priced! One of the best such examples I ever had on offer!
