Pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Leutnant eines Panzerjäger-Rgts. o. Abtlgs.'

The attractive - truly used but nevertheless quite scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres-pattern, officers'-type shoulderboards as was specifically intended for usage by a junior-officer holding the rank a: 'Leutnant eines Panzerjäger-Regiments o. Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant who served within an anti-tank- ie. tank-destroyer unit). The boards show the desirable bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards come mounted onto their (typical) smaller-sized officers'-pattern tongues. The boards measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each and were clearly worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows a fully matching set of (neatly golden-toned, regular-sized- and/or fully identical) Gothic-styled: 'P'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached denoting that the junior-officer (ie. 'Leutnant') who was issued this pair, served within a: 'Panzerjäger-Abteilung' (ie. anti-tank- or tank-destroyer-unit). Both devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine age-patina. Taking into account the fact that the set has silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'subdued'-type-) 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was used on a regular 'front-used' tunic (and NOT a 'Waffenrock' or dress-tunic). It should be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered', 'Heeres'-type 'Panzerjäger'-shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant eines Panzerjäger-Regiments o. Abteilungs'!
