4-pieced WH (Heeres) officers'-type insignia-set as intended for an: 'Oberleutnant u. Arzt u. Mitglied der Sanitäts-Truppen'
This is an attractive - fully matching albeit clearly used and/or worn! - four-pieced, WH (Heeres) officers'-type insignia-set comprising of a shoulderboard- and dito collar-tab-set as piped in the typical darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant u. Arzt u. Mitglied der Sanitäts-Truppen' (or: officer who served within the army-related, medical troops) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- and/or most certainly worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards that measure approximately 10,3 cms. in length each show a neat pair of (golden-toned, I deem 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or smaller-sized) so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cyphers and two (identical, regular-sized and equally golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Oberleutnant u. Arzt der Sanitäts-Truppen'. The straps come mounted onto their (smaller-sized) officers'-type tongues which are constructed from blue-toned wool (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps do only show some moderate age and/or wear and are truly void of any damage or alike. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that both 'Aesculapus'-cyphers were attached BEFORE the boards were fully assembled. Next to the boards the set comprises of a pair of 'standard-issue'-pattern and neatly hand-embroidered, officers'-type collar-tabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere') as also piped in the darker-blue-coloured branchcolour. This pair - which is neatly 'backed' with beige-coloured carton-based material as more often observed - is neatly hand-embroidered in greyish-silver-toned braid (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was most certainly once tunic-attached (by means of hand-stitching) and was clearly tunic-removed: it shows some obvious staining caused and wear (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular insignia-set originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands: it was always together and was carefully tunic-removed. I deem that I have priced this neat Sanitäter-related insignia-set that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant u. Arzt u. Mitglied der Sanitäts-Truppen', accordingly!
