Commemorative, 'Nat.Soz. Deutscher Frontkämpferbund Stahlhelm'- (or: 'N.S.D.F.B.St.'-) related 'tinnie': 'Gau-Treffen Dortmund - 6.7. April 1935'
The neat - fairly early-period and not that often seen! - 'Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Frontkämpferbund Stahlhelm'- (or: 'N.S.D.F.B.St.'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in (light-weight) tin- (ie. zink-) based metal: it shows some (truly minimal) wear and/or moderate age and was most probably never cleaned nor polished (it is just a tiny bit tarnished). The badge comes mounted onto its period-attached pin- (ie. pin-catch) and shows just minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'tinnie' is truly detailed and has a typical zinc- ie. greyish-silver-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The rectangular-shaped piece shows the typical 'N.S.D.F.B.St.'-logo flanked by two oak-leavers and showing the text: 'Gau-Treffen Dortmund - 6.7. April 1935'. It should be noted that all 'Der Stahlhelm - Bund der Frontsoldaten (Sta)'-related tinnies that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'town'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply a nice and fairly early-period 'N.S.D.F.B.St.'-related piece!
