Attractive - and not that often seen! - maker- (ie. 'L/18'-) marked example of a black-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') as was produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt'
The black-class WB on offer here does show some minimal wear and/or age but truly retains almost all of its original, black-coloured- and/or fairly 'shiny' (ie. minimally dirty and/or stained) finish. The badge is as stated neatly maker-marked with the makers'-designation: 'L/18' (as can be noticed on the back of the thin-shaped pin as can be seen on the pictures) signifying that it deals with a piece that was produced by the desirable company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as was based in the town of Pforzheim. Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped-) pin and/or (typical) catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust, wear-marks and/or staining as to be expected. Simply an attractive and desirable black-class WB that was produced by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' that comes not that often for sale!
