This is an attractive - and actually truly scarcely found! - example of a greyish-coloured- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troopers- ie. signals-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Geb.Jg.Nachr.Ers.Kp. 1' (and as such being a disc that was intended for a soldier or NCO who - I deem - served within the first-company of a: 'Gebirgsjäger-Nachrichten-Ergänzungs'-unit and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat torn-out holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc shows the bearers'-blood-group-type (Type B) something that is more often observed. The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty) and comes as issued and worn. The disc originates from a larger ID-disc-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and truly scarcely found! - WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Gebirgsjäger'-related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
