Attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - example of a WWI-pattern, naval black-class wound-badge (ie.: 'Marine-Verwundeten Abzeichen in Schwarz 1918') being a detailed (and non-maker-marked) example that comes in fully untouched condition
This is a very attractive - truly scarcely seen and just moderately worn and/or used! - example a WWI-pattern, naval black-class wound-badge (ie.: 'Marine-Verwundeten Abzeichen in Schwarz 1918') being a detailed (and typical non-maker-marked) example that comes in fully untouched condition. The (magnetic) wound-badge - which is an unmarked version as is always encountered with this type of WBs - shows only moderately wear and/or age and retains most of its black-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge - which comes naturally mounted onto its functional, longer-sized- (and steel-based, thin-shaped) pin and that has an undamaged and/or: functional catch - still retains extraordinary and/or pronounced detail: it just shows some minimal age and/or staining and truly retains almost all of it period black-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive - and 100% garuanteed original! - WWI-'Marine'-specimen that is with certainty accordingly priced!
