Superb, mid- (ie. later-) war-period and typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (LW) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' being a luxuriously-styled and clearly maker- (ie. 'R.K'.-) marked example that shows a typical 'triple-riveted' eagle-device

This is a truly attractive - and I deem mid- (ie. later-) war-period produced and actually scarcely encountered! - typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' (or: air-force, ground-combat war-badge) being a fairly luxuriously-styled and clearly maker- (ie. 'R.K'.-) marked that shows a typical 'triple-riveted' eagle-device originally- (and firmly!) attached and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat - and truly very detailed! - LW-war-badge - which as stated above has I deem just been moderately used and/or worn worn - is minimally vaulted and comes naturally mounted onto its functional (typical flute-shaped- and wide-sized) pin- and/or functional (and fully unaltered!) catch (ie. typical catch-set-up) in place. These mid- (ie. later-war-) period badges show a 'loose' and/or detailed silver-grey-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of three copper-toned rivets as is visible on the back). These zinc-based badges show, however, nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge truly retains most of its period finish but does show a minimally tarnished age-patina as is more often encountered. The badge shows a clear makers'-designation: 'R.K.' on its back and can as such be attributed to the company: 'Rudolf Karneth' ('R.K.') as was based in the town of Gablonz: various specific details corroborate this. The piece - which can easily be graded 'fairly scarce' - retains all its pristine and fully unaltered rivets in place and is still somewhat stained ie. dirty but has - I deem - never been cleaned (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very nice - and garuanteed original! - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen of this desirable LW-war-badge that is in my opinion accordingly priced!
