Attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres) so-called: 'Truppen-Traditionsabzeichen des Infanterie-Regiment 111' as executed in bright silver-toned metal (ie. aluminium)
This is an attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - so-called: WH (Heeres) 'Traditions-Abzeichen' (or: 'Plakette' as officially known per regulation) that was worn by the members of the 'Infanterie-Regiment 111' being a detailed example as executed in (bright) silver-toned metal (ie. aluminium) and that comes mounted onto its original long-sized pin as issued and recently found. The smaller-sized lapel-pin - only sized: 1,8 x 1,8 cms. - is truly very detailed and depicts a fish coupled with the text: 'IR 111'. The badge on offer here has never been cleaned nor polished and shows truly great and/or pronounced detail: it still retains (all) of its regular finish and was - I deem - hardly worn nor used. As possiblly known were these (actually semi-official!) badges also properly entered in both 'Wehrpass' and/or 'Soldbuch': they also were (presumably) handed-out with an official award-document. The piece on offer here shows a superimposed makers'-designation on its back that reads: 'B.H.Mayer - Pforzheim' (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very nice WH (Heeres) 'Infanterie'-related: 'Truppentraditionsabzeichen' that will be impossible to be upgraded and that is I deem accordingly priced!
