Superb, Iron Cross 2nd class (or: 'EK II. Klasse') being a (typical) non-maker-marked example that comes together with its original (and once mounted) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and 'relic' pouch as was produced by the 'C.E. Juncker'-company
The attractive piece - which was I deem surely issued and that was just moderately worn - came together with its pre-folded and/or confectioned (and approx. 13 cms. long-sized- and minimally stained) bright-red- (ie. orange-) coloured ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). The cross - which is void of a makers'-signification as more often with these by the 'C.E. Juncker'-company 'quality'-produced crosses - was with certainty never cleaned and has a nice and/or very attractive age-patina: it has, however, lost most its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally 'darkened' finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like') core: it is truly void of any (paint)damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The cross - which has all the specifications of a by the 'C.E. Juncker'-company produced IC - has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected. This example was recently found at a German private-household and came stored in its heavingly restored (but still functional!) 'Zellstof'f-based pouch (that shows the printed makers'-designatio: 'C.E. Juncker' printed on its 'flap' (hard to read but most certainly present). It should be specifically mentioned that these (smalle-sized) 'C.E. Juncker'-pouches are much harder to obtain that the crosses themselves. Still an attractive - and complete! - 'EK II. Klasse'-set by the 'C.E. Juncker'-company: I deem that I did price this with certainty very desirable piece according to its heavingly restored- ie. 'relic' pouch!
