Attractive lapel-pin (ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') being a: 'Castelli Cerosa SA'-marked example as issued for the: 'Convegno Nazionale Bande Cori Fisarmoniche Danzatori Popolari - Roma Pza. di Sienna - Maggio XVI'
This is an attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - Italian produced, larger-sized (and multi-coloured enamelled!) lapel-pin (ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') being a: 'Castelli Cerosa SA'-marked example as was specifically issued for participation in the: 'Convegno Nazionale Bande Cori Fisarmoniche Danzatori Popolari - Roma Pza. di Sienna - Maggio XVI' (or: National Convention for bands, choirs, accordions and popular ie. folk-dancers held in the city of Rome in the year 1938) and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved- (and totally undamaged!), condition. This large-scale event was organised during (and specifically for!) the state-visit of Adolf Hitler to Italy and took place on 6 May 1938 (and lasted actually 6 days!). It was organised by the: 'PNF' (ie. 'Partito Nazionale Fascista' or: National Fascist Party) and 'OND' (ie. 'Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro' or: National Recreational Club ie. being "the Italian Fascist leisure and recreational organization for adults). The abbreviation 'C ri 104' (as shown on the badge) possibly refers to a particating choir although there is no solid evidence to prove this. The neat badge - having an approximate diameter of 4,8 cms. - is made of brass and was produced by the company named: 'Castelli Cerosa SA' of Milan. The unusual piece comes mounted onto its fully functional pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up and will be very hard to be upgraded!
