Superb - and hardly worn! - 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' being a clearly maker- (ie. 'AS' in a triangle-) marked- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen as was procuced by a to date unknown maker
This is a truly very attractive - and I deem issued- albeit hardly- used- and/or worn! - example of a so-called: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'AS' in a triangle-) marked- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen as was procuced by a to date unknown maker that comes in an overall very nicely preserved- (ie. fully untouched!), condition. The minimally converse- (ie. vaulted) badge on offer here concerns (I deem) a mid-war-period-, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen that retains almost all of its (chocolate)brown-coloured finish and still has an attractive appearance, still showing pronounced detail as to be expected by a badge by this particular maker. The badge - which has a typical, bronze-like age-patina - has, however, I deem never been cleaned nor polished (and is still a tiny bit dirty ie. stained- ie. tarnished as mentioned above). As stated is the piece a neatly maker-marked example that shows the various characteristics - such as for example the typically ball-shaped pin-set-up, silver-coloured- and thin-shaped pin and/or modelled catch - as only seen on IABs as produced by this (still unidentified) maker. This piece naturally shows all the details as to be expected for a badge by this particular maker. The piece was recently found as such at a German private-household and was never before part of a collection. Simply an attractive and honest bronze-class IAB by this still unidentified maker that is with certainty accordingly priced!
