This is an attractive - fully matching and I deem carefully tunic-removed! - pair of neatly 'cyphered' WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann des Artillerie-Regiments 5' (or: captain who served within the artillery-related, regiment numbered 5) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly issued- and/or worn- ie. once tunic-attached-), condition. The neat boards - which are executed in the typical 'smooth'-like- and/or bright-red-coloured wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each and have the greyish-silver-coloured- ie. truly sub-dued 'upperdecks'. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended to be used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show four (golden-toned, identical and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Next to this do they show two (larger-sized, fully matching and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based) '5'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') attached. The pair was clearly issued and/or moderately worn ie. once-mounted onto a tunic. This particular WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann des Artillerie-Regiments 5' and that is accordingly priced!
