Attractive, early-pattern, black-class wound-badge (ie.: 'Verwundeten Abzeichen in Schwarz') being a detailed so-called: 'Spanish Civil-War'-version that comes in a moderately used- and/or worn, condition
This is a very attractive - and I deem just moderately used and/or worn - example of a black-class wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') being of the scarcely observed - (ie. early-period- aka 'Spanish Civil-War'- or: 'Legion Condor'-) pattern that comes in an overall very nice- (and just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The (non-magnetic!) badge - which is an unmarked version that shows a very pronounced swastika as more often encountered - just shows moderate wear ie. age and retains, however, a neat and just somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina: moreover, does it retain a fair bit of it 'glossy' black-painted finish which was only applied to its front (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge - which comes naturally mounted onto its functional, regular-sized- (and also non-magnetic) pin and that has an undamaged and/or: functional catch - still retains extraordinary and/or pronounced detail (as can be seen on the pictures). I am of the opinion, that the piece on offer here is a 100% genuine, period-example that was obviously worn: it originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and comes as found. In any case an attractive - and most certainly original! - early-pattern, black-class specimen that is - I deem - priced according to its fully untouched just moderately worn condition!
