Attractive, Waffen-SS-related so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia, as was intended for a: 'Gasschutzunteroffizier' (or: gas-protection NCO) being a neatly machine-embroidered example
This is an attractive - and actually not that easily encountered! - example of a Waffen-SS-related, so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (ie. 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Gasschutzunteroffizier' (or: gas-protection NCO) being a neatly machine-embroidered- and/or later-war-period 'variant' that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem never worn- nor tunic-attached-), condition. The neat patch is (as always) executed on a black-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and shows a (detailed and/or neatly machine-embroidered-) 'gasmask'-illustration as executed in silverish-grey-coloured linnen. The patch is not maker-marked nor backed (which is common for this badge). This is an attractive - and actually not that commonly encountered! - Wafffen-SS-related trade- ie. special-career patch. The patch on offer here shows some minimal staining simply caused by decades of storage only. This particular example originated with certainty from the Dachau-clothing-depots and originates from the USA where it was stored for decades as a so-called: 'veteran bring-back'-item. Simply a very attractive Waffen-SS-related trade-/specialist badge that is accordingly priced!
