Attractive - and somewhat later-war-period - zinc- (ie.'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen' being a (typical) non-maker-marked example as was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'FLL'-) company
This is a truly attractive - and just moderately used and with certainty later-war-period! - so-called: zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen' (or: paratroopers-war-badge) being a (typical) non-maker-marked example as was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'FLL'-) company and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat and very detailed badge - which as stated above has I deem moderately been worn - comes naturally mounted onto its functional (typical) pin- and/or catch (ie. set-up). These later-war-period, 'molded' badges show a 'loose' and/or detailed golden-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two rivets as is visible on the back of the badge). These zinc-based badges show, however, very nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge truly retains a fair bit of its period- and bright golden-coloured finish and is just minimally tarnished as is more often encountered. The badge is void of a makers'-mark-designation on its back but can with certainty be attributed to the maker: 'Friedrich Linden' as based in the town of Lüdenscheid: all specific details corroborate this. A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Luftwaffe & Heer Paratrooper Badges of World War II - 1936-1945' by my friend Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-designation Type C: 'Zinc - Block Hinge with Thick Wire Catch'-variant. Simply an attractive - and garuanteed original! - later-war-period, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based 'FLL'-pattern of this desirable Luftwaffe-war-badge that is (I deem) priced according to its wonderful and fully untouched condition!
