Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the desirable darker-green-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann eines Jäger o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments'
The attractive - and I deem moderately ie. cleary used and/or worn and carefully tunic-removed! - WH (Heeres) pair is piped in the typical darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by an army-officer holding the rank of a: 'Hauptmann eines Jäger o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments' (ie. captain who served within a mountain-troopers unit ie. regiment). The attractive pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in a nice condition overall (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 10,4 cms. in length each - show two matching pairs of the (neat golden-toned, regular-styled and I deem zinc-based- and/or smaller-sized) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of a: 'Hauptmann eines Jäger o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments'. The straps come mounted onto their (typical officers'-type) tongues attached. This pair originated from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann eines Jäger o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments'!
