This is a very attractive - and actually such complete scarcely found! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a (typical) non-maker-marked example as executed in bronze-toned- and/or zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that was produced by the desirable maker: 'R.A. Karneth u. Söhne' as based in the town of Gablonz and that came packed in its rarely seen (typical!) two-pieced box ('Schachtel') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem hardly- or even never used- nor worn-), condition. This example has a 'typical' catch and/or hinge set-up and seems to be totally uncleaned. It has still an attractive and/or minimally 'tarnished' age-patina: most (ie. all!) of its period-applied somewhat lighter-toned golden-bronze finish has been nicely preserved (as can be noticed on the pictures). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows some minimal staining and was most certainly never cleaned. The IAB came stored in its rarely seen (typical!) two-pieced box ('Schachtel'). This box is sized: 8 x 7,5 cms. - and comes in a wonderful condition overall and still holds a piece of thin-shaped 'wrapping-paper' (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these two-pieced boxes (ie. 'Schachtel') are actually x-times more rarely seen than the by 'R.A. Karneth u. Söhne'-produced IABs. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a completely untouched - and scarcely encountered! - 'IAB-variant' that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
