2-pieced WH (Heeres, Luftwaffe etc.) 'Feld-/Bandspange'
This is an attractive 2-pieced, WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing respectively the ribbons for a: Czech 'Anschluss'-medal (that is having a detailed and somewhat smaller-sized, golden-toned miniature 'Prager Burg-Spange' firmly- and period-attached) which medal was. awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, which started on 1 October 1938) and a: 'Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' (or: 'Ost'-medal) both ribbons (and 'Auflage') coming in a wonderful- (and only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ribbons are of the regular (ie. larger), ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1,5 cms. each (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is neatly 'backed' with a piece of field-grey-coloured wool. The attached (and very detailed!) device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been very nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply a very attractive 'Feld- o. Bandspange' having an unusual combination: great to decorate almost any WWII-tunic!
