Attractive - and just moderately used! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as was executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid as was intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
This is an attractive - and with certainty used and/or carefully tunic-removed! - example of a (fairly luxuriously-styled!) WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and quite detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid on a darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall nice- (and as stated above carefully tunic-removed-), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 10,8 cms. - is nicely hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a darker-green-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and does show some 'high-lighted'-areas as executed in bright-silver- (ie. light-green) coloured thread ie. braid (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which shows a small makers'-designation-label on its back (that has lost its writing) - does show minimal usage and wear as can be noticed on the pictures: it shows a neat additional 'backing' (made-out of light-green-toned- and thin-shaped paper: moreover, does it show some clear stitching-remains (as can be seen on the pictures). This breast-eagle belonged to an (unnamed): 'Jäger o. Gebirgsjäger-Offizier' and was found together with the collar-tab-pair I offer under number: 66694: both items were stored for decades as 'souvenir-items from the war'. Simply an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle of the 'Extra Qualität' that is accordingly priced!
