Superb example of a 3-pieced WH (Heeres o. KM) medal-bar (ie.: 'Ordenspange') showing an: 'EKII. Kl.' of the 'runder Drei'- (ie. 'rounded-three'-) pattern, a: 'WH-DA der 4. St.' and a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen'
This is a decorative - and in this combination with certainty scarcely found! - three-pieced (WWII- ie. TR-period or 'Heeres o. Kriegsmarine'-related!) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') that respectively shows an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron-cross second class) desirable - and scarcely found! - so-called: 'runder Drei'- (ie. 'rounded-three'-) pattern, a: 'WH Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Stufe' (as was intended for 4 years of loyal-service) and that shows a detailed, silver-toned eagle-device period-attached and a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal), all three medals coming in an overall very nice- (albeit just minimally used and/or worn-), condition. All three medals are nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: both come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty condition and naturally also come mounted onto their period ribbons. The iron cross - which is an attractive example of the desirable - and scarcely found! - so-called: 'runder Drei'- (ie. 'rounded-three'-) pattern - was with certainty never cleaned and has a very nice and/or attractive age-patina: it has just a minimally tarnished appearance (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross retains truly very nice and/or pronounced detail and has a very nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'matted'- ie. satin-like) core: it is totally void of any paint-damage or alike. The differences between a 'runder Drei'- (ie. 'rounded-three'-) pattern and a regular type IC can easily be spotted when compared next to a regular format IC: the '3'-numeral in both year-designations '1939' and/or '1813' is clearly 'rounded' in style and execution (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is magnetic as to be expected. The 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stufe' retains nice details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- ie. tarnished age-patina: it retains all of its somewhat 'matted'- and/or: silver-toned finish (as can be noticed on the pictures). The 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) is constructed from typical 'Buntmetall' and retains also all of its original, golden-bronze-toned finish: it is also a tiny bit dirty ie. tarnished, simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage (as can be noticed on the pictures). The 'Ordenspange' comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- (ie. catch-) set-up and is nicely 'backed' with a piece of field-grey-coloured linnen as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike: it originated as stated above from a private-household and was kept as such for decades. Simply a very attractive - and decorative! - 3-pieced, WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) related medal-bar- ie. 'Ordenspange' that is in my opinion accordingly priced!
