Attractive, police- (ie. 'SS-Polizei') aluminium-based, officers'-pattern belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Offiziere der SS, Polizei o. Gendarmerie') being a maker- (ie. 'OLC'-) marked example that comes in a minimally used- ie. worn, condition
The truly attractive - and (I deem) just minimally used- and/or worn! - example of a 'standard'-pattern, typical aluminium-based officers'-pattern belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Offiziere der SS, Polizei o. Gendarmerie') is a clearly 'OLC'- (ie. 'Overhoff & Cie - Lüdenscheid'-) marked (and '1936'-dated) example that comes in an overal very nicely preserved condition (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive buckle - which shows a clearly makers'- ie. patent-pending designation (that reads: 'Ges.Gesch. - OLC' as can be noticed on the pictures) - truly retains most (ie. all!) of its (bright and shiny!) silver-greyish-toned finish and just shows some minimal age, wear and/or staining simply caused by having been moderately used and/or stored as such. The piece is of a typical 'single-pieced- ie. molded-aluminium construction'. Of interest is, moreover, the fact that this example still shows most (ie. almost all!) of its 'off-factory-applied' polished details (as visible on the swastika and characters). The neat buckle orginates from an older belt-buckle-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this attractive and truly used- and/or worn police- (ie. 'Polizei') 'Koppelschloss für Offiziere der SS, Polizei o. Gendarmerie') accordingly!
