Superb - very unusually found and 'virtually mint'! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st Class) being a clearly & oddly dual-maker- (ie. '26'-) marked example as was produced by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt'
This is a truly very attractive - very unusually found and fully untouched! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st Class) being a clearly (dual!!) maker- (ie. '26'-) marked example as was produced by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as based in the town of Pforzheim and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued- albeit hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The piece on offer here has most certainly never been cleaned and shows a very attractive (blackened- and truly 'satin-like'- ie. matted-) patina and shows a fully undamaged, black-coloured 'inner-core'-section. The piece - which shows a clear (dual!!) makers'-designation: '26' stamped into the back of its (flute-shaped) pin can with certainty be attributed to the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt'. The cross retains almost all of its polished sides (or: 'hochpolierte Kanten') and does just show some minimal storage-age only. As stated above has the cross great and very fine detail: it was I deem issued but simply never worn and is just a tiny bit dusty. Simply a neat - and fully untouched! - IC first-class by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' that is - I deem - accordingly priced: one of those 'dual-maker-marked EK-oddities' that does not come often for sale!
