Attractive, DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') so-called: nurses'-badge entitled: 'Schwesternschaft' being a medium-sized version showing an engraved bearers'-number: ('738'), town: ('Karlsruhe') and/or makers'-mark ('A. Stübbe - Berlin')
This is an attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - neatly enamelled (albeit slighty 'chipped') so-called: DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' or: German Red Cross) nurses'-badge entitled: 'Schwesternschaft' being a medium-sized version showing a neatly engraved bearers'-number: (that reads: '738'), town- (ie. hospital-name): 'Karlsruhe' and/or and clear makers'-mark: 'A. Stübbe - Berlin' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The piece was clearly worn but is NOT denazified but does show some (minimal) enamel-damage as can be noticed on the pictures: moreover, does it show some regular wear and shows some minor scratches ie. wear-marks (as can be seen on the pictures). The lapel-pin is nicely maker-marked: 'Ges.Gesch. - A. Stübbe - Berlin' and also is engraved with a (unique) bearers'-number that reads: '738'. The badge most certainly belonged to a nurse (ie. trainee) that worked in a hospital or clinic based in the town of Karlsruhe (something that is obvious due to the encountered engraving). The badge comes mounted onto its fully functional and totally unaltered pin and/or pin-/catch (set-up). A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken'-lapel-pin-catalogue, where it is given the unique reference-number: 5613XH. The badge on offer here was never cleaned and shows an attractive (golden-bronze-coloured-) patina on its back. This is the medium-sized version (having an approximate diameter of 3,2 cms.). Simply a very attractive and honest example of this desirable DRK 'Schwesternschaft' lapel-pin that is not that often offered for sale and that is I deem priced according to its slighty 'chipped' condition!
