Neat - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type dual-piped shoulderboard as was specifically intended for a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Artillerie-Regiments 103'
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type (and dual-piped!) shoulderboard having the bright-red-coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Artillerie-Regiments 103' (or: reserve-captain who served within the artillery-regiment, numbered: 103) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit I deem minimally used ie. worn- and/or I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard which is approximately 11,7 cms. sized in length and that is (dual)piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour and has the typical dove-grey-coloured, secondary 'underlay' as to be expected. The piece shows a set of neat (bright golden-coloured, 'Buntmetall'-based and/or: regular-sized) '1'-, '0'- and '3'- cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and two (equallly styled) pips period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for a reserve-officer who held the rank of: 'Hauptmann der Reserve'. The devices shows some regular age and/or minimal tarnish but are nicely preserved. The board never had a tongue attached (it is a specimen of the 'sew-in'-type) and does show some minimal age-, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive 'Heeres' officer-type shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann der Reserve des Artillerie-Regiments 103': too bad that it is only a single example!
