Superb example of a - scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) 'Demjansk'-campaign-shield (of the 'missing-log'-pattern!) as executed in magnetic metal (ie. so-called: 'Eisenblech') and that comes in an overall very nice-, condition

This is an attractive - and/or very detailed! - example of the (actually nowadays fairly scarcely encountered!) WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) so-called: 'Demjansk'-campaign-shield (of the 'missing-log'-pattern!) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem issued- and just moderately worn- ie. once tunic-attached-), condition. The (typical magnetic and minimally converse-shaped) campaign-shield - which is executed in greyish-silver-coloured metal (ie.: 'Eisenblech') - comes naturally complete with its metal-based back-plate and retains all of its (four) originally-attached pins ie. prongs in place and does show its (typical greyish-blue-toned- and thicker-shaped) so-called 'backing'-paper in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The shield - that comes mounted onto its piece of field-grey-woolen cloth - shows some minimal aging caused by storage only: some minimal staining is visible and/or present but it still retains nice detail as to be expected. The shield was found at a private-household in Germany and was simply stored as such for decades: it was never before in a collection. It should furthermore be mentioned that these 'Demjansk'-campaign-shields are nowadays hard to come by. Simply a very nice - and naturally original! - example of this collectable and desirable campaign-shield that nowadays is not that often offered for sale: I deem that I have priced this attractive example accordingly!
