Superb - albeit single! - example of a WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-)war period- (ie. 'M40'- ie. 'M43'-pattern) neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by an: 'Uffz. eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abts. o. Rgts.'
This is a truly attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless very scarcely found! - example of a WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-)war period- (ie. 'M40'- ie. 'M43'-pattern) neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilungs- o. Regiments' (or: junior-sergeant and/or student who served at one of the artilleryt-troops-related, army training-institutes) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which has the 'standard'-pattern, field-grey-coloured and/or woolen'-based 'upperdeck' - shows the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured- (and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type!) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its functional tongue attached: it comes in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition, overall. The strap shows the neat Gothic-styled (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') so-called: 'L'-cypher which is executed in the bright-red-coloured wool or linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which is of the 'standard-issued' pattern - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern 'Lehr'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare'. In any case is this a very attractive and/or: early- ie. mid-war-period, 'Heeres'-artillery-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier eines Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
