Unusual - and scarcely encountered! - 'Motor-SA'-related 'tinnie' being a non-maker-marked example showing the text: 'Zur Erinnerung an die Einweihung von Motor-S.A.Heim u. Schule - Motorst. 29 - Trier - 5-11-33'
The attractive golden-bronze-toned 'Motor-SA'- (ie. 'Motor-Sturmabteilungen'-) day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is (I deem) executed in copper-coloured and so-called tin-based- (ie. pot-) metal: it shows some normal wear and/or moderate age but has presumably never been cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit dirty but has maintained a nice, somewhat tarnished age-patina). The shield-shaped day-badge has a functional pin-/catch set-up and shows some minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'tinnie' is very detailed and retains most (ie. all) of its (bright!) golden-bronze-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows an SA-member wearing a helmet, sunburst (with swastika!), buiding and tekst that simply reads: 'Zur Erinnerung an die Einweihung von Motor-S.A.Heim u. Schule - Motorst. 29 - Trier - 5-11-33'. The piece - which is executed in copper- (ie. bronze-) toned 'pot-metal' - comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin/catch set-up and has a nice somewhat sub-dued age-patina. Simply an attractive, early-period - and actually scarcely encountered! - 'Motor-SA'- (ie. 'Motor-Sturmabteilungen'-) related tinnie that is accordingly priced!
