This is a truly very attractive - and in this condition not that easily found! - so-called: 'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class panzer-assault badge or PAB) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'ÜÜ'-) marked- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen as was procuced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem simply never used- nor worn- ie. still 'virtually mint'-), condition. The badge on offer here concerns an (I deem) mid-war-period-produced and zinc-( ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen that truly retains all of its (bright-coloured) golden-bronze-coloured finish and that has a very attractive appearance, still showing pronounced detail as to be expected by a badge by this particular maker. The badge has never been cleaned nor polished (and is still also a tiny bit dirty ie. stained- ie. tarnished as mentioned above). As stated above, is the piece a neatly maker- (ie. 'ÜÜ'-) marked example that shows the various characteristics - such as for example the typical 'semi-hollow back', typical pin-set-up, steel-based thin-shaped pin and/or modelled catch - as only seen on PABs as produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company based in the town of Frankfurt: it deals with a so-called: 'wrap-around type A-pattern' (as is uniquely numbered with the reference-number: '5.2.3.' according to the excellent reference-work entitled: 'The Panzer-Assault badge of WWII' by my Belgian friend Philippe de Bock). The very attractive piece naturally shows all the details as to be expected for a badge by this particular maker. It was recently found as such at a German flea-market and was never before part of a collection. Simply an attractive - and fully untouched! - bronze-class PAB by the 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company that is with certainty accordingly priced!
