Attractive, WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' (or: pilots'-badge) being a later-war-period- and zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based and non-maker-marked example as was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'FLL'-) company
This is an attractive - and I deem typical mid- (ie. later-) war-period - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example of a non-maker-marked so-called: WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' (or: pilots'-badge) being an example as was with certainty produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'FLL'-) company and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly issued- and/or moderately worn- and/or used-), condition. The neat badge - which as stated has been clearly worn and/or issued - comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- and original (ie. fully unaltered-) catch (-set-up) and/or typical 'block-hinge' pin-set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). Moreover, does it retains both its nicely preserved (and unaltered) rivets (as can be seen on the pictures). This example has a greyish-silver-coloured- and separately-attached 'eagle-device' (as always by badges by this maker) that still shows nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge has a superb age-patina and retains most of its original typical zinc-based finish: it is just a tiny bit dirty but has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished. As stated above, is the piece a non-maker-marked specimen and is an evident example that was produced by maker: 'Friedrich Linden' based in the town of Lüdenscheid. The war-badge originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply an attractive WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' by the desirable maker 'Friedrich Linden' that is I deem accordingly priced!
