Superb, 'EKII. Kl.'-set comprising of a non-maker-marked example that comes together with its original ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and (rarely seen!) 'Zellstoff'-based pouch as was produced by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Otto Schickle'
The truly attractive - and desirable! - 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Kl.'-set on offer here - which was surely issued but that was I deem never worn nor even mounted - came together with its folded and/or non-confectioned (and approx. 29 cms. long-sized) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and (rarely seen- and typically smaller-sized 'Zellstoff'-based pouch) as found. The cross - which is void of a makers'-designation - was with certainty never cleaned and has a superb and/or attractive age-patina: it truly retains most of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally darkened- (ie. hardly stained) finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. matted-) core: it is totally void of any damage nor paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The cross is an evident (and magnetic!) specimen that was produced by the desirable maker: 'Otto Schickle' as based in the town of Pforzheim (ie. 'Hersteller L/15'): it has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. The neat - and naturally 100% genuine and period! - smaller-sized pouch is sized: 9,5 x 6,5 cms. and is complete and of course still fully functional: it just shows some minimal dust-marks (ie. minimal staining) and is somewhat 'wrinkled' by age (as can be seen on the pictures). This neat IC-set was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply a superb and fully matching 'EK II. Klasse'-set by a desirable maker that is most certainly accordingly priced!
