The attractive - and with certainty desirable and not that often encountered! - award was presumably issued but hardly ie. never worn: it came together with its pre-folded- and non-confectioned, bright-red-coloured (and approx. 29 cms. long-sized-) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). The neat cross - which is void of any makers'-signification as is more often encountered - has never been cleaned nor polished and has a nice and attractive somewhat 'darkened' age-patina (the piece has, however, lost most of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) as can be seen on the pictures. The cross shows, however, a fully preserved, black-finished- (ie. somewhat satin-like-) core: no real damage whatsoever is visible on the black core: just some dirt- ie. dust is visible and/or present. The cross has very nice and/or pronounced detail. The differences between a 'runder Drei'- (ie. rounded-three-) pattern and a regular type IC can easily be spotted when compared next to a regular format IC: the '3'-numeral in both year-designations '1939' and/or '1813' is clearly 'rounded' in style and execution (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is magnetic as to be expected and came as stated together with its (minty- and/or never mounted) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') as found and stored for decades. It should be noted that these 'runder Drei'- (ie. rounded-three-) pattern ICs can easily be graded 'truly scarce'. Simply a great example that comes in an overall nice condition!
