Attractive, 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB), being a maker- (ie. 'R.S.'-) marked, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) example as was produced by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Rudolf Souval'
This is an attractive - and I deem only moderately used ie. worn - example of an: 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB), being a clearly maker- (ie. 'R.S.'-) marked- and typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) example as was produced by the Austrian maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Rudolf Souval' and that comes, in overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The badge is typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example that retains most of its greyish-coloured finish (something that is not always the case: it has a typical greyish-silver-coloured- and/or zinc-like age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular example comes naturally mounted onto its functional (typically shorter-sized- and/or silver-coloured-) pin (which is mounted on a typical catch as to be expected). The piece is still very detailed and has a very pronounced appearance: the award has I deem only minimally been used and shows some wear on the obvious higher areas: it is, moreover, a tiny bit stained but was most certainly never cleaned nor polished. It originated from a private-household in Germany and was truly never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive and honest GAB that is with certainty accordingly priced!
