Attractive, WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as was executed on a greenish-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was specifically intended for an: 'Obergefreiter' (ie. 'SS-Rottenführer')
This is an attractive - and I deem just minimally used- ie. once tunic-attached! - example of a WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as was executed on a greenish-coloured- and/or 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based background as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier holding the rank of: 'Obergefreiter' (ie. 'SS-Rottenführer') and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem just minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed on a typical greenish-coloured 'HBT'-like (ie. 'Drillich'-) based material and shows a detailed 'double-stripe' of silverish-grey-coloured (ie. 'sub-dued') NCO-braid (showing two black-coloured 'inner-stripes'!) attached. The patch was I deem once tunic-attached and does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be noticed on the pictures). The piece is not backed as more often encountered (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' Heeres (ie. Waffen-SS) rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply an attractive rank-badge ie. 'Armwinkel' as executed on a 'Drillich'-based background that will be hard to be upgraded!
