This is an attractive - and as more often somewhat converse-shaped- ie. vaulted! - 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault-badge ie. IAB) being a typically non-maker-marked award: it has a 'typical' crimped (pillow-type) catch and/or hinge set-up as is more often encountered. To date the exact maker of these (attractive!) so-called: 'pillow-crimped'-pattern IABs has not been surfaced yet. The war-badge - which can, nevertheless, be attributed as a badge of the so-called: 'Vienna-design' - seems to be totally uncleaned and has a still a very attractive and truly somewhat shiny, silver-coloured age-patina. The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and/or present (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows hardly any wear and is just minimally stained (as can be seen on the pictures): it was, however never cleaned nor polished and comes in an overall wonderful condition. Hard to find a more nicely preserved example for a more interesting price!
