Superb - fully matching and I deem hardly used! - darker-blue-coloured WH (Kriegsmarine) officers'-type shoulderboard-pair as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Kapitän zur See'

This is a very attractive - just minimally used- and/or worn but fully matching! - WH (Kriegsmarine), high-ranked officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that is constructed from darker-blue-coloured wool as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Kapitän zur See' (or: high-ranked naval-officer holding the comparable rank of a full-colonel) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just minimally used ie. worn- and/or tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: they are truly 'text-book'-examples of the 'Kriegsmarine'-type officers-type -shoulderboards and have the bright-silverish toned (ie. minimally tarnished-) 'upperdecks'. The boards are constructed from smooth-type wool as to be expected and show each two (larger-sized, golden-toned- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based- albeit minimally tarnished) pips period-attached, denoting the officers'-rank of a: 'Kapitän zur See'. The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each. Of interest is, moreover, the fact that this pair was fitted to be worn with a pair of 'Schraubknöpfe' (something that can be easily corroborated by the presence of the chromed-metal-based 'rings' as can be noticed on the pictures). The attractive pair was most certainly used and/or worn as such and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining. Simply a neat - and comparatively scarcely encountered! - high-ranked, naval officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Kapitän zur See'!
