Attractive, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Kl.' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a (typical) maker- (ie. '100'-) marked example as was produced by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'R. Wächtler u. Lange' and that comes in its original etui as issued

This is a truly attractive - and I deem just moderately worn- and/or used - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a detailed and clearly maker- (ie. '100'-) marked example (visible on the back of the pin as more often) as was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'R. Wächtler u. Lange' as was based in the town of Mittwaida in Sachsen and that came stored in its original, simulated leather-based- (and fairly luxuriously styled!) etui as issued and/or recently found and that comes in an overall very nice- (surely issued and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The magnetic cross has an overall very nice age-patina and retains truly great detail: the black-coloured core shows no rust nor damage whatsoever: the satin-like (ie. minimally matted), black-coloured painted core is truly very nicely preserved and is totally void of any paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross retains, moreover, a fair bit of its 'off-factory applied' polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). The back of the cross is just a tiny bit stained (but was never cleaned nor polished). The (flute-shaped) pin and catch (ie. set-up) are naturally unaltered and/or fully functional. The etui comes also in a very fine and fully complete condition: the silver-rimmed cross that figures on the etui's top is in a very nice and undamaged condition whereas the yellowish-beige-coloured- and/or velvet-like interior is also present and in place: it is just a bit 'yellowed' by age (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross (ie. fully matching set!) is an evident specimen that was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'R. Wächtler u. Lange' as was based in the town of Mittwaida in Sachsen: it has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this maker. Simply a very attractive - and fully matching! - IC1-set by the 'Wächtler u. Lange'-company and that was never before part of a collection: I deem that I have priced this attractive and fully untouched example accordingly!
