Superb - and rarely seen! - TR-period reference-work entitled: 'Uniformen und Soldaten' by Dr. Curt Ehrlich that was published in the year: '1942' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used- ie. read-), condition
This is an attractive - very desirable and actually very scarcely encountered! - example of the period TR-reference-work, entitled: 'Uniformen und Soldaten' by Dr. Curt Ehrlich being an example of the 1st edition that was published in the year: '1942' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used- ie. read-), condition. This nice and very collectable book (being hard-covered- and/or linnen-bound edition) covers the entire process of producing the various 'Wehrmacht'-tunics. The various photos as published in the book were taken at the 'Peek & Cloppenburg'-plant in Berlin, a well-known company for clothing and - especially since the start of the war! - maker of uniforms. It measures: 27,5 x 21 x 2 cms, and retains all its 110 pages full of wonderful illustrations (in colour!) and detailed descriptions and topic-related information. It comes - as stated above - in a just moderately used ie. read (but fully complete) condition overall: it is just very nicely preserved. The book just shows minmal age and wear (something that is remarkable due to the bad quality paper used and its comparative fragility). It does just shows some minimal yellowing caused by storage and/or age and has a (linnen-based- and beige-coloured) 'cover' that is void of damage (as can be noticed on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact this particular example holds a personal dedication on its first page: it was apparently given by an (unidentified) 'Oberleutnant' as a present to a soldier: 'for outstanding work done for the: '2./lei.Flak.Abt.755' in April 1944. Simply a very nice and desirable period-reference-book (I deem still the very best!): without doubt a very nice and fairly rarely encountered TR-period item that is not that easily found. I deem that I have priced this attractive example accordingly!
